Week 00

Prepare yourself for this immersive learning experience. Familiarise yourself with Cahoot’s collaborative learning platform and navigate through a brief orientation module that will set you up for success and help you get comfortable with your online learning journey.

From potential to kinetic – capitalising on the energy in Higher Education

Week 01

This topic explores the infinite market and thus limitless commercial potential of education.

 

Through careful examination of the purpose, demand for and beneficiaries of Higher Education, learnings form this topic will substantiate the hypothesis that as the acquisition of new knowledge is unbounded so then is the need for dissemination, demonstration and explanation or more simply put education.  Thus, revealing education as a market of limitless potential.

Higher Educations' dilemma – an economic paradox

Week 02

Contemporary commercial learnings delineate and differentiate between horizontal and vertical progress and innovation, this topic seeks to examine both the progress together with the lack thereof which has defined the business model of Higher Education in recent times. Asking the question has the sector shifted from 0-1 or rather more simply moved from 1-n?

Week 03

This topic interrogates the impact of macroeconomic forces on the conventional operating model of education.

 

Exploring the impact of intensified national, regional and globalised competition, the ascendance of global brands and the implications of digitisation of the education marketplace.

Is RoI Higher Education’s event horizon?

Week 04

As the world shifts into a new epoch it is necessary to take a critical look at the value created by and the return on investment derived from Higher Learning. 

 

In this closing section, we examine the returns yielded by Higher Education across the diverse spectrum of stakeholders it seeks to serve.

Upon successful completion of the course, you’ll be ready to:

  • Recognise and be well placed to both interpret and leverage the abundant commercial and growth opportunities inherent in the perpetually expanding higher education market.

  • Assess and adjust your own organisations readiness and propensity to champion 'novel' innovation or rely more exclusively on sustaining innovation to scale up.

  • Chart a path through 'red oceans' of increasingly diverse local and global competition towards 'blue oceans' of new market potential.

  • Evaluate and balance the proverbial scales of 'cost versus benefit', both to institutional investors and stakeholders as well as to students and the wider market, ensuring that value creation outweighs or at least corresponds with the concomitant investment of time, money and resources .

Will the course adjust to my schedule?

CONNECTed's courses are modular release, cohort-led and offer a hyflex model with both synchronous (optional) and asynchronous elements that collectively provide an unrivalled learning experience. 

While best enjoyed 'with the pack', the course flexes to your schedule and occasional absence from the program shouldn't substantively impact the outcome.

Why is there a waitlist, why can't I start now?

We believe in the power of community. You join this program with domain experience, competencies and skills that compliment the learning experience for others and vice versa.

While expert facilitators are there to guide the conversation, share insights and encourage debate, it's through discourse, encouragement and interrogating others points of view where true learning takes place.

We'll notify you when we reach 40 participants. From there we'll endeavour to start the program within 10 days. This threshold will ensure a memorable experience for all.
